Melissa joined the MMA team as an account manager in the Commercial department in 2018. She started her insurance career out of high school with a small insurance company as a receptionist, BOP rater and claims file clerk. Her experience grew from that point working in different departments; personal lines, claims, commercial (small and large) and obtaining various designations. Melissa chose to stay in the insurance industry as it allows her to listen to her clients’ needs, help clients understand their coverage, mentoring colleagues and the fact that she learns something new every day.   She has lived in the Pacific Northwest since she was a child, and loves the fact that you are not far from the coast, the mountains or the desert. One of her passions is working with adults/children with disabilities—being supportive and inspirational. The other is working in the garden/yard, do it yourself projects and making stepping-stones.
