Chris was born and raised in McMinnville, Oregon to an insurance family. He graduated from Mac High and the US Naval Academy. Chris started at the family insurance agency, Huwaldt Insurance in 1994. He began his career selling home and auto insurance before moving on to commercial lines and eventually into management when Huwaldt Insurance merged with MMA.

Chris has filled roles as a Producer, Branch Manager, Regional Vice President and Managing Director of Personal Lines and Small Business during his career. He has been involved in Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Agency Councils and Independent Agent Associations. When away from the office, Chris likes to be outdoors with his family, preferably with a fishing rod in hand.
