Colt started his career in insurance in 2005. His specialty is working with the natural resources industry and is licensed in Montana, Idaho, Nevada, North Dakota, Wyoming and Washington. Colt takes great pride in helping his clients be MSHA and OSHA compliant. He is very active in helping his clients put together safety programs by offering various seminars and training sessions. “Being proactive is key. Focusing on safety and accident prevention is the foundation a successful business is built on.”   Although born in Missoula, Colt was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He returned to Missoula on an athletic scholarship at the University of Montana in 2001, and in 2004 earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration. Colt played fullback for the Grizzly football team; his football career ended with a National Championship and four Big Sky Championships.   Colt grew up in a family dedicated to owning and managing a thriving business in the transportation industry. That experience, combined with running his own landscaping business right out of college, he has learned firsthand the many important factors needed to balance and align in order to be successful. “To be successful, regardless of what you are doing, you need to surround yourself with great people and build your personal team.” Colt’s relationship with his clients resembles a team; working together to come up with insurance solutions to fit their specific needs. He understands and appreciates the hard work, commitment, enthusiasm and dedication it takes to operate a successful business.   Outside the office, Colt, his wife Erika, son CJ, and daughter Ayla enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, attending sporting events and participating in community organizations.
