Managing Director, Construction Specialty Division—Surety, Ed Heine joined Marsh McLennan Agency in 1990. He dedicates his time to helping clients and colleagues with their strategic and operational needs and has spent his entire career in the construction risk and surety arena. A graduate of Bowdoin College, Ed began his surety career in 1979 after serving in Peace Corps in El Salvador, Central America. He held surety underwriting management positions in New York City, Seattle and Houston prior to joining MMA, when the firm had a single location in Missoula, Montana. The MMA team has built the Construction Specialty Division into the largest specialized division. Ed's current focus includes the growth and sustainability of their effort in serving clients in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana through a network of 30 offices. Ed served as president of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP) in 2005-2006. He has also served in various roles for NASBP throughout his career, including participating as a faculty member for NASBP's Surety School, which he enjoyed immensely.  He is an active participant in construction industry and charitable organizations. Ed enjoys adventure travel, gardening and time with his family at all times!
