Leif joined MMA in 2019 and is the healthcare practice director. He is responsible for the new business development and growth of our Healthcare Practice. Their focus is serving the complex insurance and risk management needs of healthcare organizations throughout the Northwest, including hospitals, medical groups, senior care facilities, medical technology, and life sciences companies, among others. In addition to proactive management of carrier and vendor relationships to meet client and agency goals and objectives, Leif is also responsible for the growth and development of sales and account executive colleagues, and advising existing clients and new prospects on how best to navigate the changes in healthcare through risk minimization.   Prior to joining Marsh McLennan Agency, Leif spent more than eight years as executive director for Yakima Valley Memorial, a large community hospital with dozens of primary and specialty care clinics, managing communications, marketing and government affairs. He worked diligently to help navigate the organization through several leadership transitions and an array of reimbursement, market and governmental changes influencing the healthcare landscape. Prior to working with Yakima Valley Memorial, Leif was with Moss Adams LLP, the largest CPA firm headquartered on the West Coast. He directed their Healthcare Industry Group as a marketing director with responsibilities across the West Coast. Leif also worked for the accounting firm KPMG and several years with Countrywide Insurance Services managing their sales support division.   Leif was born and raised in Central Washington and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla. In his spare time, he enjoys bow hunting, fishing, golf and traveling.
