Randy is a Senior Risk Control Specialist at Marsh McLennan Agency based in Yakima, Washington. He brings over a decade of real-world construction safety experience to support the risk management needs of MMA clients. Randy has the experience and skill set to support heavy industrial clients in areas such as hazard identification, performance and regulatory compliance, and training needs analysis to clients. Randy is a graduate from Central Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in safety and health management and a minor in construction management. Randy holds two professional certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, including the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification and the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification. Additionally, Randy has obtained his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist certificate (CRIS) from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. Randy has experience navigating work regulated by Federal OSHA, Washington Labor and Industries, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), Federal Motor Carrier (FMCSA), and Army Corps of Engineers (EM-385). Randy’s direct construction experience includes leadership responsibilities with projects valued in excess of $350 Million including:

  • Agriculture spillway infrastructure
  • Road infrastructure
  • Solar farms
  • Data storage centers for some of the top names in technology today
A proactive problem solver with a technical understanding of rules and regulations, Randy has participated as a member of committees focused on achieving the International Standards Organization (ISO18001) certification for Safety and Health Performance. Randy is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Professionals in the Lower Columbia Chapter in Washington. Randy holds technical training certifications from industry leading organizations in the following fields:
  • Fall Protection
  • Industrial Hygiene Sampling
  • Hazardous Material Management
  • Trench and Excavation Safety
  • Heavy Equipment Operation
  • Traffic Control
Randy is responsible for supporting Marsh McLennan Agency clients in Southern Idaho and Central Washington. He enjoys partnering with our clients to solve challenges and ultimately help them create a safer environment for their employees. In his off time, Randy enjoys being a dad to his young family and working on his family’s hobby farm.
