Rody, a native-born Montanan raised in Butte, began his insurance career in 2001. From 2001 to 2004, he served as a business insurance sales executive in Butte and SW Montana. From 2004 until a company merger in 2013, he served as a branch manager for three branch locations in SW Montana. Since the company merger in 2013, Rody has served as a vice president/business insurance sales executive.   Rody earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration, with a minor in economics, from the University of Montana in 1990. Rody followed his undergraduate degree by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Montana in 1993. He earned a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2006.   Rody enjoys collaborating with his clients in a variety of ways to help them identify and understand risk. He then implements strategies to reduce risk--ultimately driving down the client’s overall cost. He enjoys long-term “partner” relationships with his clients of varying complexity across numerous industries including public entities, school districts, financial services, health care (including professional medical malpractice) and other sectors.   Prior to his career change in 2001, he spent several years serving as the economic development director of the City and County of Butte-Silver Bow. At the time, he served as a project manager of the largest economic development project in the city’s history--a $500 million polysilicon manufacturing facility that created over 350 high-quality manufacturing jobs. He earned a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional designation during this time.
