Ron joined MMA in 2016 as business insurance account executive. He brings over 30 years of experience as a commercial insurance sales executive — 25 years of which have been spent in agribusiness.   After graduating from the University of Washington in 1984, Ron went directly to work for a large regional insurance firm in the Seattle area, before returning to his hometown in 1991. He grew up in the fruit culture, working in orchards and later in fruit warehouses, so his knowledge of the industry comes from first-hand experience.   Ron’s strengths are in the technical aspects of insurance and risk management, and he enjoys working on larger, complex accounts that require a lot of interaction and consultation.   Ron thinks of himself as a risk manager for his clients rather than the typical insurance salesperson. His clients range from food processors to fruit growers, and from manufacturers to public entities. All of these business segments offer different risks, and he enjoys the challenge of helping clients determine the best way of avoiding, mitigating or transferring that risk.   An avid outdoors enthusiast and photographer, Ron has been involved in many community associations, including the Apple Blossom Festival Board, Lions Club Board, Chelan/Douglas Agents Association and as a chairperson for the United Way. He is also a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an Accredited Advisor of Insurance.   Ron's professional areas of focus include fruit packing and storage facilities, manufacturing, and public entities.
