Cottage Grove, Oregon (June 8, 2016) — Darla Avery, personal insurance sale executive of Marsh McLennan Agency in Cottage Grove, has received the Safeco Insurance® Personal Lines Achievement Award for 2016.

The Personal Lines Achievement Award recognizes Avery for her commitment to customer service and performance for Marsh McLennan Agency. Only a select group of employees at local independent insurance agencies across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska are given this honor by Safeco Insurance.

Darla AveryDarla Avery was born and raised in Cottage Grove and began her insurance career 35 years ago right here in Cottage Grove. After graduating from Cottage Grove High School, she went to Business College and received a medical secretarial degree. When she began her insurance career, she went to work for Bauder and Young Insurance Agency in 1975. She is licensed in Property Casualty and Life and Heath Insurance. She believes in hometown involvement as well as purchasing locally. She takes a genuine interest in her client and their needs. Her clients become lifelong friends. She really enjoys her job and it shows! She has been involved in community activities and sporting events. Her family enjoys boating, traveling, and classic car cruises. Her and her husband Rob have two grown children and two very active Jack Russell Terriers
